Eh, given that the political jokes were for the adults and not the kids, I....wouldn’t be surprised, actually. But I think they’ll make them anyways. One of the recurring jokes was how often the network censors got uppity over the jokes that flew under the radar. Like this one:

I’m not so sure the original cartoon was that good. I remember a lot of awkward pauses waiting for laughter when the joke didn’t deliver.  (Pauses for laughter are almost as bad as laugh tracks.)

At least the standards for animation are a lot better now.
